How are meditation and wisdom alike?
They are like the lamp and the light it gives forth.
If there is a lamp, there is light; if there is no lamp, there is no light.
The lamp is the source of the light; the light is the function of the lamp.
Thus, although they have two names, in substance they are not two, but one.

One in all -
All in one,
if only this were realized
no more would you worry
about not being perfect.

Forget about the good or bad of your nature,
the strength and the weakness of your power.

Focus only on the fact that there is only this day
and this hour.

When you really hear the sound of rain
you can hear and see and feel
everything in the same way -
as needing no translation,
as being just what it is,
though it may be impossible to say what.

Do all in your power to be as one,
to live in peace…
for ye are all the drops from but one ocean,
the foliage of one tree,
the pearls from a single shell,
the flowers and sweet herbs from the same one garden
